A system check — also called a diagnostic check or preventive tune-up — is a thorough, step-by-step evaluation of your entire heating and cooling system. At West Coast Air Conditioning, our process covers 70 inspection points designed to give you complete confidence in your system's condition.

What We Check

Safety Components

We evaluate all safety-related items including switches, gas components, and controls. These are the things that — if they fail — can create real hazards. We make sure everything is functioning as it should.

Electrical Wiring

Loose electrical connections are a leading cause of component failures. We inspect all wiring and tighten any connections that have loosened over time — stopping problems before they start.

Refrigeration Circuit

Your system's refrigeration circuit is a closed loop — it should never lose refrigerant. If the refrigerant level is low, that means there's a leak somewhere, and the longer it goes unaddressed, the more damage it can cause and the more expensive the repair becomes. We check refrigerant levels at every service visit.

Motors and Capacitors

Motor and capacitor wear often shows up before failure — if you know what to look for. Our technicians check these components for signs of degradation that can predict an impending breakdown, allowing you to replace a $50 capacitor instead of a $1,500 compressor.

What Happens After the Inspection

When we've been through every part of your system, we do what we call "Educate and Provide Options." That means:
